{Home Videos}: Dancing Through the Ages

Obviously, our Girl loved to dance.  We were just about to sign her up for dance classes this fall.  Let's watch more videos of her dancing, throughout her short 4 years...

(Winter 2010, about 20-22 months old ~ in our home in Cannon Beach, where she was born)

(Summer 2010, age 2 - I remember thinking that this was about as "wild" as she got...ridiculous, I know.  I make very mild-temepered babies, I have learned.  And, please excuse/disregard/forgive the "crack" comment I make...a bit of an inappropriate joke we used to have in my family that we stopped after we realized how unfunny it really sounds!  I am so naive/ignorant sometimes.  I'm a bit embarrassed by it, but the movie is too cute to pass up.)

(Summer 2011, age 3+ ~ China dress dancing...I just love staring at her gorgeous face.)

(January 2012, age 3 1/2+ ~ This is an all-time favorite - she started pulling out these "break dancing" moves...here she is dancing with Grandma Lynn.)

(Summer 2012, age 4 - dancing for her sister, Ivy.)

  1. I love these. This last one...I can hear that she is dancing to praise music...slowly, beautifully. And I imagine her dancing now...

I will worship with all of my heart
I will praise You with all of my strength
I will seek You all of my days
I will follow, follow all of Your ways
I will give You all my worship
I will give You all my praise
You alone I long to worship
You alone are worthy of my praise

I will bow down hail you as King
I will serve You, I'll give You everything
I will lift up my eyes to Your throne
I will trust You, I will trust You alone
I will give You all my worship
I will give You all my praise
You alone I long to worship
You alone are worthy of my praise

She did that, ALL of her days. And she's doing that now, for eternity. THAT alone, THAT only...can give me joy in this. And our pending reunion.
"I love you, Vienne. You are a daughter of the King. We will praise together soon". ~ Grammy.

  2. Is the crack comment video too inappropriate, if people don't know me well enough? I remember after hearing me say that in that video, I told Mark that we should never make that kind of joke again...especially since we really know nothing on that topic. :) Lessons we learn as parents.
